ROCKCLIFFE - Northumberland & Northeast

Rockcliffe, a trawler that ran aground back in 1907, now lies scattered in just 3 metres of water. We often find ourselves exploring the distributed remains of its hull and a lone boiler, which is surprisingly intact and a real magnet for local critters. It’s a great spot for newer divers, or anyone keen on a relaxed shallow poke around, with plenty of crabs, small fish, and anemones making the wreck their home. Just pick a calm day; even a gentle swell can make things a bit bouncy in such shallow water.
