ROSE OF SHARON (PD 383) - Northumberland & Northeast

The Rose of Sharon, a fishing vessel that went down in 1970 after hitting something submerged, sits at a very manageable 12 metres. She’s a good little dive if you’re looking for a wreck that isn’t too deep or demanding, making it accessible for newer wreck divers or those just wanting a relaxed bimble. What’s left of her structure has become home to plenty of local critters – think plump crabs tucked into crevices and various colourful anenomes coating the metalwork. We’ve found the bow section particularly interesting, often covered in dense kelp and providing good shelter for small fish. It's a proper example of how the North Sea reclaims its own.
