SAINT MIRREN (POSSIBLY) - Northumberland & Northeast

The Saint Mirren, potentially, lies deep at 55 metres off the Northumberland coast. This steel steamship, built in 1894, is a proper technical dive, not for the faint of heart or the casually trained. Down there, you'll find a hull that's largely intact, surprisingly so for a wreck from 1926. We’ve seen conger eels poking out from collapsed sections and plenty of ling moving through the deeper parts of the holds. It’s a dark dive, as you’d expect at this depth in UK waters, but the structure itself holds a real sense of history. Visibility varies, but on a good day, the scale of her becomes clear.
