SAMARIA - Northumberland & Northeast

The Samaria, a wooden fishing vessel, sits at 27 metres after sinking back in 2000 following a collision. She's not a huge wreck, only 12.5 metres long, so you can take your time exploring the remains of her wheelhouse and hull. Despite the age, the wood offers plenty of crevices for smaller crabs and blennies, and we often spot decent-sized cod lurking in the deeper sections of the wreckage. It's a proper British wreck dive, generally with limited visibility, but that just adds to the atmosphere as you fin around what’s left of her.
