SARAH - Northumberland & Northeast

The SARAH wreck, off Northumberland, is more of a shallow historical marker than a full dive site, sitting at just one metre. It's the remains of a sailing vessel that went down in 1917, now classified as a dangerous wreck due to its proximity to shipping lanes. You won't be penetrating this one, but it offers a unique snorkel or very shallow free dive opportunity to connect with a piece of maritime history. Visibility can be challenging with the North Sea's temperament, but on a calm day, you might spot some crabs scuttling amongst the scattered timbers. We’d suggest it for divers looking for a very quick dip with a story, rather than a deep exploration.
