Sarah Lena - Northumberland & Northeast

The Sarah Lena is a fresh addition to the Northumberland wreck scene, a 14-meter fishing vessel that went down in late 2023. We’ve found it’s already attracting juvenile cod and pollack darting through the wheelhouse, with squat lobsters tucking themselves into the nooks and crannies of the deck. Its relatively shallow depth makes it a good option for newer wreck divers looking to get their fins wet on a more intact structure, without the pressure of strong currents often found further offshore. Visibility can be a typical North Sea mixed bag, but on a good day, the outline of the vessel is clear, offering plenty of swim-throughs and details to explore. Give it a few more seasons, and this wreck will be absolutely buzzing.
