SEAGULL - Northumberland & Northeast

Dropping onto the Seagull, you’re met with a proper slice of WWI history. This steamship, torpedoed in 1918 by U-103, lies at 41 metres, largely intact despite the quick sinking. We’ve found the stern section particularly photogenic, often draped in plumose anemones, with schools of coalfish darting through the superstructure. While the depth makes this a dive for experienced wreck enthusiasts, the historical narrative woven into the hull makes it a compelling trip. It’s a quiet, atmospheric dive, perfect for those who appreciate wrecks with a story rather than just a structure.
