SEAHOW - Northumberland & Northeast

The Seahow, a barge that met its end in 1969, now rests at 27 metres off the Northumberland coast. It’s a good example of how quickly the sea reclaims things. What was once industrial now provides a home for wrasse, blennies, and the occasional curious seal zipping past. The wreck itself is broken up, but you can still pick out the general shape of the vessel, with plenty of nooks for conger eels to hide in. We find this site a solid choice for divers comfortable with UK conditions looking for a genuine wreck dive without extreme depths. Expect typical North Sea visibility, which means sometimes it's grand, sometimes you're really earning that beer afterwards.
