SIR HERBERT MILES - Northumberland & Northeast

The Sir Herbert Miles sits in about 9 metres, so it is a good pick for newer wreck divers or anyone looking for a longer bottom time. The trawler sank in 1948 and is largely broken up, but its remains are spread across the seabed, creating plenty of nooks for crabs and lobsters. We often find schooling coalfish around the scattered plates, darting between the kelp-covered ribs. It's a proper British wreck dive, green and atmospheric, best explored on a slack tide.
