SOLWAY HARVESTER - Northumberland & Northeast

The Solway Harvester sits upright on the seabed at 32 metres, a grim reminder of a winter storm in 2000. It's a relatively intact vessel, about 21 metres long, and you can still make out the superstructure and trawling gear. We've seen conger eels poking out from various crevices and shoals of coalfish often mill around the mast. The wreck is silty inside, so careful finning is essential, but there are plenty of access points for those with appropriate training. It’s a somber but compelling dive, best for experienced divers comfortable with deeper wrecks and potential currents.
