SOUTHERN CROSS - Northumberland & Northeast

The Southern Cross lies in very shallow water, barely two metres deep, making it an accessible wreck for most divers. We usually find its remains scattered across the seabed, the wreckage broken up but still offering plenty of structure for exploration. Given its depth, it’s a good spot for newer divers looking to get some wreck experience, or for those keen on long, relaxed dives to search for the small stuff that shelters within the twisted metal. Expect to see plenty of crabs and blennies making homes in the crevices.
