STAMILA - Northumberland & Northeast

The Stamila, a fishing vessel that went down in 1983, sits upright on the seabed at 40 metres. She's not a huge wreck, only 16.8 metres long, but what she lacks in size, she makes up for in character. We've seen her decks become home to nudibranchs and squat lobsters, tucked away in every nook. Penetration isn't really an option, but finning around the wheelhouse and bow offers plenty to explore, especially with a good torch. It's a solid dive for experienced wreck enthusiasts looking for a piece of local history, often with decent visibility for the region.
