SWANSEA - Northumberland & Northeast

Diving the Swansea takes you back to a moment in 1867, when this steamship went down after a collision. The wreck itself is pretty broken up, scattered across the seabed at a shallow 12 metres, which makes it an easy dive if you’re keen on history without needing deep skills. You’ll find plates and ribs spread out, and it’s a good spot for spotting wrasse, blennies, and often a few inquisitive crabs tucked into the nooks. We’d recommend this for newer wreck divers or those looking for a relaxed bimble, especially when the visibility is up.
