TT 6 (POSSIBLY) - Northumberland & Northeast

The TT 6, or "Possibly" as we affectionately call it, is one of our Northumberland favourites. It’s a purposeful dump, a former Mersey Docks & Harbour Board barge, now sitting upright at 39 metres. Descending through the often green North Sea, the outline slowly forms, a robust, blocky shape emerging from the murk. We love how simple it is, no dramatic breaks or collapsing sections, just a sturdy hull that provides an immediate, solid structure for exploration. You’ll find lobsters tucked into every nook, their antennae waving from the gloom, and schools of coalfish often swirl above the deck, a silvery cloud against the light. Inside, where the holds once were, the light fades quickly, creating a proper wreck dive feel, a real sense of intrusion. It's a proper deco dive, best for experienced divers comfortable with deeper North Sea conditions and who appreciate the gritty character of a working vessel turned artificial reef. We always check the tides; slack water gives you the best chance to properly poke around and appreciate the scale of the old girl.
