VESTA - Northumberland & Northeast

The VESTA, a barge sunk in 1906, sits at a shallow 9 metres, making it a decent introductory wreck dive for Northumberland. We found it a straightforward explore, lying broken up across the seabed, but still very much a wreck rather than just scattered debris. Look closely amongst the twisted metal and you’ll spot crabs scuttling and small fish darting into shadowy nooks. It's a site that rewards a slow pace, suitable for newer wreck divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon dip.
