VIA - Northumberland & Northeast

The VIA, a topsail schooner lost in 1931, rests shallow off the Northumberland coast. At a max depth of 3m, it's a perfect spot for divers looking for a leisurely exploration or a long safety stop with something interesting to look at. We’ve found her timbers are surprisingly intact in places, a testament to her Brixham build, with various crabs and small wrasse darting amongst the ribs. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, easily accessible and often calm, ideal for those honing their buoyancy or just enjoying a relaxed dive without the pressure of depth.
