VOER TREKKER - Northumberland & Northeast

The *Voer Trekker* isn’t a massive wreck, not like some of the behemoths further north, but we love it for its character. This old fishing vessel, just under 12 metres long, lies at a manageable 26 metres, a depth that offers good bottom time even with Northumberland’s chill. She’s been down since 1983, plenty of time for life to really take hold. You’ll find her upright, largely intact, and absolutely smothered in plumose anemones – their white, feathery heads sway gently in the current, creating a stunning contrast against the dark steel. We've spent dives just watching the light play on them. Look closely and you’ll spot crab eyes peering from every crevice, plus the occasional lobster tucked away. We’d suggest a slow explore, circling the bow and stern, peeking into the small wheelhouse area if the visibility is playing ball. This is a site for divers who appreciate the subtle beauty of a small, mature wreck, not those chasing big pelagics. It’s a proper taste of North Sea diving, full of life and history, and often surprisingly sheltered from the stronger offshore currents.
