WILLIAM - Northumberland & Northeast

The WILLIAM sits as a quiet, fragmented story on the seabed, just off the Northumberland coast. It's not a huge wreck, nor is it deep, topping out at 10 metres, but that’s precisely what makes it so approachable and interesting. We’ve always found it a great spot for an extended bottom time, allowing you to really soak in the atmosphere. You’ll find pieces of timber scattered across the rocky seafloor, hinting at its sailing past. What we love about the WILLIAM is how the local crabs have made it home, scuttling amongst the ribs and plating, and if you look closely, you’ll often spot a feathery tube worm swaying in the gentle current. It’s a site that rewards patience, perfect for those who enjoy uncovering history rather than just swimming past it.
