Wreck of Bee - Northumberland & Northeast

Diving the *Bee* is like peeling back layers of history. This isn't some perfectly intact museum piece; it’s a proper wreck, broken up but still very much a ship. We love it for the character, the way the steel has twisted and collapsed, creating a labyrinth of swim-throughs and dark corners. You’ll find large sections of plating and machinery, with girders and ribs reaching up into the gloom. The real treat here is often the wildlife, which thrives in the shelter. Expect to spot plenty of lobsters tucked into crevices, curious wrasse picking over the growth, and sometimes even a wolf fish lurking in a shadowy nook. Visibility can be a challenge, so pick your day – we'd suggest slack water on a neap tide for the best chance of decent light penetration and less current. It’s a site that rewards patient exploration and a good torch, definitely one for the more experienced wreck enthusiast.
