Wreck of Dennis - Northumberland & Northeast

The *Dennis* is a proper piece of North Sea history, not some tropical bathtub wreck. We think this is a standout for UK divers because it offers a real challenge and a rewarding glimpse into the past. Down there, you’re not just looking at a pile of metal; you’re exploring the remains of a German steam trawler, sunk in 1904. What makes the *Dennis* truly special for us is the way the wreck has settled and broken up. The bow section is often the highlight, looming out of the gloom, but we also love poking around the scattered debris field. You’ll find a surprising amount of detail on the deck, if visibility plays nice, and it's a great spot for crabs and lobsters to hide. Look closely, and you might spot a wolfish peering out from under a plate. We’d suggest diving this one on a slack tide for the best experience, as currents here can be a bit lively. It’s a site that rewards multiple visits.
