Wreck of Eidanger - Northumberland & Northeast

The Eidanger wreck off the Northumberland coast is one of those dives that sticks with you. Dropping down, the first thing you notice is the sheer scale of the cargo holds, often still packed with what looks like giant paving slabs – a real window into its working life. We’ve found that the bow section is our favourite part, with its dramatic upright structure and the way the light filters through the remaining deck plating. Look closely and you’ll spot resident wrasse darting between the rusty plates, and we often see conger eels tucked deep within the gloomier parts of the hold. This is a dive for those who appreciate history and don't mind a bit of a current; it’s not always a calm drift, but that just adds to the adventure. Definitely one for experienced wreck divers looking for something a bit more substantial than your average fishing boat.
