Wreck of Letitia - Northumberland & Northeast

The Letitia, a casualty of the First World War, is one of those wrecks that just keeps on giving. Lying broken in two sections, she’s a fantastic rummage for anyone who loves an old steel hulk. We particularly enjoy the stern, with its huge propeller still in place and usually covered in dead man’s fingers. There’s often good visibility here, and the light filtering through the steel plates creates an eerie atmosphere. Look for conger eels tucked into every crevice, and the resident pollack darting through the superstructure. For us, the Letitia is a proper journey back in time. We'd suggest diving her on a slack tide to properly explore the scattered debris field and uncover some of her secrets.
