Wreck of Seton Queen - Northumberland & Northeast

The Seton Queen wreck is a proper North Sea adventure, a great option when the visibility's playing ball. We love it because it’s not just a pile of metal; you can really see the ship’s structure, especially the stern. Cruising along the deck, we often spot a few lobsters tucked into crevices, and the sheer volume of plumose anemones coating everything is incredible. They just sway in the current like a living carpet. This site is best for divers comfortable with colder water and a bit of current, and who appreciate the history alongside the marine life. The wreck tends to attract pollock and coalfish, and we’ve had some fantastic encounters with cheeky seals buzzing around us here. Our favourite time to dive it is on a slack tide, otherwise, you'll be working for your view. Keep an eye on the dive reports for the best vis days, it makes all the difference.
