Wreck of Supply - Northumberland & Northeast

The Wreck of Supply, tucked off the Northumberland coast, is one of our absolute favourite UK wreck dives when the conditions play ball. It’s not just a pile of metal; this is a proper ship, upright and largely intact, inviting you to explore its secrets. Descending onto the main deck, you’ll find yourself finning over machinery still recognisable, with the skeletal remains of the superstructure creating interesting swim-throughs. The real draw here, for us, is how the local marine life has utterly taken over. We've seen ling peering out from darkened holds and huge conger eels snaking through the collapsed plating. Look closely and you'll spot nudibranchs clinging to the metalwork, and dogfish often patrol the perimeter. Visibility can be a bit hit-or-miss, as is typical for the North Sea, but catch it on a calm day with a slack tide and the dive is simply glorious. It's a great choice for experienced wreck divers who appreciate the history and the cold water challenge.
