AKKA - Scottish West Coast

The Akka, a substantial 135-metre Swedish motor vessel, went down in 1942 after an encounter with the Gantock Rocks. Today, she rests upright on a silty seabed at 28 metres, making her a classic Scottish wreck dive. We find her superstructure still holds together well, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. Expect to see plenty of squat lobsters tucked away, and conger eels often peer out from darker sections. Given her depth and the typically cooler Scottish waters, this is a dive best enjoyed by those comfortable with cold-water wreck penetration.
