Mexico Divers - Cozumel

The team at Mexico Divers are the real deal, a family operation that’s been doing this for over a decade. We love that they’ve kept things personal, even as Cozumel gets busier. You won’t feel like just another diver pushed through a pipeline here. They’re solid for pretty much any diver, from someone wanting to dip their toes in with a Discovery Dive to the more advanced folks eyeing those cavern or cave programs. Our favourite thing about them is their commitment to smaller groups. It means more bottom time, fewer elbows in your face, and guides who actually remember your name. We’ve found their instructors have a knack for making even the most nervous new divers feel comfortable, getting them down to see the turtles and nurse sharks without any fuss. For the certified crowd, we’d suggest asking about their early morning trips. You often beat the crowds to sites like Palancar Bricks and Santa Rosa Wall, letting you drift past those massive coral formations in relative peace. The visibility in Cozumel is usually phenomenal, 25-30m on a good day, and watching the sunlight dapple through those gorgonian fans when it’s quiet is something else. They’re also one of the few places offering dedicated night dives; gliding over the reef as the parrotfish sleep in their cocoons and octopuses emerge is always a highlight.
