Socorro Island, part of the Revillagigedos archipelago, sits a good 400 kilometers off Baja California. The real draw here is the big animal action. We’re talking giant Pacific manta rays, often seeming to seek out interaction, along with several species of sharks cruising by. Humpback whales pass through in winter, adding another layer to the experience. It's a spot for divers who prioritize pelagics and don't mind a longer journey to get there.
