Socorro - The Aquarium
Why dive here
With 190+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue whales, dolphins, humpback whales, manta rays and mobula rays (devil rays) - Socorro - The Aquarium offers some of Socorro Islands's richest reef diving.
The Aquarium on Socorro Island gives you a solid chance to spend quality time with the pelagics that make this place famous. We’ve drifted here with giant manta rays, sometimes a dozen at a time, circling for a full dive. You'll often find schooling hammerheads deeper, and dolphins are frequent visitors, curious and playful. It’s a site best suited for experienced divers comfortable with open ocean conditions and strong currents.
