The Hawaiian Dive Company - Hawaii
The team at The Hawaiian Dive Company are solid. They’re a PADI 5 Star IDC centre, which means they teach instructors. That level of experience filters down to every course they offer, from open water to advanced specialties. We’ve always found their instruction to be thorough, patient, and focused on genuine comfort in the water, not just ticking boxes. We love that they run smaller groups. You get more personalised attention, which is particularly good if you’re a newer diver or working on specific skills, like buoyancy or photography. They know the local sites like the back of their hand, often pointing out the sleeping white-tip reef sharks we might otherwise miss tucked under ledges. Our favourite trips are their morning two-tankers, where the light is usually best and the green sea turtles are still a bit sleepy on the reef, letting you approach for a closer look. They’re not afraid to venture further out for some of the less-dived spots when conditions allow, which is a real bonus if you’re spending a few days with them. We’d suggest booking ahead, especially during peak season, as those smaller boats fill up fast.
