With 35+ marine species recorded in the area - including nurse sharks - Lake Hydra offers some of New England's richest diving. Water ranges 4-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
Lake Hydra offers a cool, dark freshwater dive. We've often spotted Redfin Pickerel cruising the weed beds, alongside Slimy Sculpin tucked into the rocks. It’s a good spot for honing navigation skills or for those looking for something different from ocean diving. Visibility can be low, especially after rain, but on a good day, it's a peaceful dive.
