Penfield Reef - New England

Tristeingrunnen, just off Gothenburg, gives you a solid taste of what diving the Swedish west coast is all about. It’s a reef dive, though not in the tropical sense; think more rock formations draped with kelp and colder water corals. We’ve seen Atlantic cod drift by, sometimes even whiting shadowing them. The light here can be moody, especially deeper, but it’s a good spot for divers looking to explore a colder, northern European ecosystem and don’t mind a bit of a chill. Just keep an eye out for dog whelks clinging to the rocks.
