Yokum Pond's public boat launch isn't going to blow your mind, but it’s a solid spot for getting wet and practicing skills. Think of it as your local, reliable swimming hole, just with dive gear. The max depth of three meters makes it perfect for open water training, or for new divers to get comfortable with buoyancy without any pressure. We often see folks working on mask clearing or regulator recovery here. You’ll find plenty of small freshwater fish darting through the weeds and along the silty bottom – nothing dramatic, but always a few sunfish and perch keeping you company.
