Nassawadox Reef - North Carolina

The Nassawadox Reef in North Carolina is an artificial reef, made up mostly of concrete culverts and old tires. It’s a site for local species, attracting spadefish, sheepshead, and often some bigger snapper species. Visibility can be a bit hit or miss, typical for the area, but it’s a good easy dive for newer divers or for getting a quick fix when you’re in the area. We’ve found it’s best explored slowly, poking around the structure.
