UBC Aqua Society - Pacific Northwest

The team at UBC Aqua Society are the real deal if you’re looking to get serious about diving in the Pacific Northwest. Forget just getting certified, these guys are all about building confident, capable divers, which is exactly what you need when you're tackling the chillier, murkier waters up here. We’d recommend them particularly for anyone wanting to take their PADI certs to the next level, right up to instructor development. What we love about them is their commitment to local conditions. You're not learning in a tropical fishbowl here; you're getting hands-on experience in the environment you'll actually be diving in. The water here feels a bit like a cold hug, and the visibility can swing from 20 metres on a good day down to a green soup, but the Aqua Society prepares you for all of it. Our favourite thing is how they make sure you're comfortable with drysuit diving from the get-go, which is essential. They're not just running courses; they're cultivating a community of PNW divers, ready for anything from a leisurely drift past a cloud of plumose anemones to a challenging deep wreck dive.
