ELLIOT - El Gouna

Elliot isn't your deep, challenging wreck dive. It’s a wonderfully shallow, accessible site perfect for longer bottom times and really soaking in the details. At just 5 meters, the former cargo ship, built in 1963, lies in a way that’s incredibly inviting. You can spend ages exploring the superstructure, the holds, and watching the resident marine life. We love Elliot for its chill vibe. The sheer size, at 93 meters long, means there's always a new nook to peer into, even with the shallow depth. Look for lionfish tucked into shadowy corners and clouds of glassfish shimmering in the holds. We often spot crocodile fish camouflaged on the sandy bottom nearby, too. Our favourite part has to be swimming through the deck openings, especially when the sun filters down, making patterns on the encrusting corals. It's a fantastic site for newer divers looking to get comfortable around a big wreck, or for anyone who just wants a relaxed, extended dive with plenty to see without the pressure of depth.
