Shaab Sataya - Marsa Alam

Shaab Sataya, or Dolphin Reef, off the coast of Marsa Alam, is a horseshoe-shaped reef that really delivers on its nickname. We’ve spent hours here, often with a pod of spinner dolphins zipping past, sometimes even circling back for another look. The southern section of the reef is a good spot for a drift, with enough soft coral and schooling anthias to keep things interesting if the dolphins are playing hard to get. It’s a pretty relaxed dive, generally sheltered from strong currents, making it ideal for newer divers or anyone looking for a chilled-out Red Sea experience with a strong chance of a memorable encounter.
