Shaab Sharm - Marsa Alam

Shaab Sharm, about 12km out from the Marsa Alam coast, is a proper Red Sea wall dive. The eastern point is our preferred spot, where a plateau sits between 17 and 35 metres. We often find big schools of fusiliers here, sometimes so thick they block out the sun, and the coral growth is always healthy. Keep an eye out into the blue for bigger pelagics, especially around the drop-off – we’ve had luck spotting dolphins and the occasional whale shark cruising by. It’s a good one for experienced divers who appreciate a strong current and dramatic topography.
