TURBO (STERN SECTION) - Marsa Alam

The Turbo’s stern section, resting upright at 28 meters, offers a wonderfully atmospheric dive. We especially love the engine room’s exposed components – huge pistons, gears, and the boiler, all slowly being reclaimed by the sea. It's an honest wreck, not overly colourful, but the sense of history here is palpable as you weave through the twisted metal. Look closely and you’ll spot crocodilefish camouflaged on the decking and lionfish slowly patrolling the darker corners. The wreck often attracts schooling fusiliers, which can be so thick they temporarily blot out the light filtering down from above. We’d suggest going early in the morning for the best light and fewer boats. It’s a site that really suits divers who appreciate the quiet dignity of a historical wreck, the kind of place where you can spend an entire dive just absorbing the scene.
