EL HADEY - Eilat
El Hadey is one of our favourite dives in Eilat, a classic Red Sea wreck that delivers every time. At just 15 metres, it’s a perfect multi-level dive, allowing plenty of bottom time to really explore the yacht. We’ve probably dived El Hadey two dozen times, and we still find something new. The wreck itself is a small vessel, maybe 15-20 metres long, but it’s packed with character. You can peek into the cabins and swim through the saloon. Look for the resident moray eels tucked into every crevice, and the lionfish often patrol the railings. What we really love about El Hadey is the way the wreck has become a living reef. Schools of glassfish swarm around the mast, parting as you swim through them, and the hard corals are starting to really take hold on the deck. It’s a comfortable dive, usually with mild currents, and suits anyone from advanced open water divers to those looking for a relaxed photo opportunity. Try to catch it early in the morning before the crowds arrive; the light play through the upper deck is beautiful then.
