With 139+ marine species recorded in the area - including humpback whales, octopuses, sea turtles, spinner dolphins and whale sharks - EMRATS WESTERN offers some of Eilat's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 18-29°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Emrats Western wreck in Eilat sits at 31 metres, making it a dive for experienced open water divers and above. We found it a decent penetration dive, the hold often accessible, and a good spot to practise wreck skills. While it’s technically classified as dangerous, we’ve always found it quite navigable, with schools of glassfish often sheltering inside. Keep an eye out for lionfish hunting the edges; they're frequent visitors.
