FAGR - Eilat

Down in Eilat, FAGR offers a different kind of dive. This isn't a deep plunge, topping out at 9 metres, making it approachable for most. The FAGR itself is a roll-on/roll-off vessel, a substantial ship at over 100 metres long, that capsized and sank back in 2000. It's a proper wreck dive, with plenty of nooks and crannies to peer into, though penetration isn't really the point here. We love how the Red Sea’s resident fish life has completely taken over the structure; parrotfish graze the encrusting corals, and clouds of damselfish hover above the deck. It’s a great site for photographers looking for an interesting backdrop.
