ROLA RANA (POSSIBLY) - Tyre

The Rola Rana, sitting at a shallow 8 metres, offers a quick, accessible wreck dive right off Tyre. This motor vessel, sunk by Israeli frogmen back in 1981, is pretty broken up now, but you can still make out her general shape and the superstructure’s remnants. We’ve found plenty of damselfish and small wrasse darting through the twisted metal, and the occasional octopus tucked into a crevice. It’s a great spot for newer wreck divers to get a feel for penetration on a relatively safe site, or for anyone wanting an easy second dive. Just keep an eye on the local boat traffic; it can get busy.
