SERAFIM II - Tyre
The Serafim II, lying at a serious 55 metres off Tyre, is a dive for technical enthusiasts. This motor vessel, originally launched as 'Terremolinos' in 1948, found its final resting place in 1979. We found her surprisingly intact for her age and depth, with the superstructure still a prominent feature. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, the sheer scale of the wreck is impressive. There isn't an explosion of colour, but we did spot some decent groupers lurking in the shadows and a few schools of jacks cruising overhead. It's a deep penetration dive for those properly trained and equipped.
