SOFIA L - Tyre

The Sofia L sits in relatively shallow water off Tyre, a motor vessel that went down in 1979 during heavy weather. At just 10 metres, it’s an easy dive, perfect for extended bottom times and really soaking in the details. We’ve found the wreck itself is quite broken up, but you can still make out sections of the hull and superstructure, which now provide shelter for a surprising number of smaller fish. Look closely in the nooks and crannies; we’ve often spotted blennies peeking out and sometimes even an octopus tucked away. It’s a great little explore for divers looking for a relaxed wreck dive without the pressure of depth or strong currents.
