SWEET WAVES - Tyre

Tyre’s Sweet Waves wreck is an interesting shallow dive, perfect for an easy afternoon in the water. This 80-meter motor vessel went down in 1983, a casualty of shell fire while laid up in Tripoli, and now rests comfortably in just five meters of water. The wreck itself has become a home for various small critters – think nudibranchs, gobies, and juvenile fish darting in and out of the metalwork. It's an excellent spot for newer divers looking to get a feel for wreck diving without the pressure of depth, or for photographers keen on capturing the way sunlight plays through the superstructure. You can spend a good hour just exploring the deck and the nooks and crannies that have formed over the decades.
