Snoopy Island - Daymaniyat Islands
Snoopy Island is often one of the first stops in the Daymaniyats, and it’s a good introduction to the area. We’ve found it’s usually pretty calm, making it a comfortable spot for a check-out dive or if you’re still getting your fins under you. The topography here is gentle, mostly sloping reefs with sandy patches. Look for the large brain corals, they’re impressive and often house a banded cleaner shrimp or two. We’ve seen green turtles cruising by on multiple occasions, and if you’re lucky, a blacktip reef shark might make an appearance out in the blue. It’s a pleasant, easy dive, probably not one for the logbook's greatest hits, but definitely a solid start to any Daymaniyat trip.
