CORI BROTHERS - Arraial do Cabo

The Cori Brothers wreck, lying shallow in Arraial do Cabo, is our pick for a chill afternoon dive, especially if you’re into some history with your marine life. It’s not about deep exploration here, it’s about the sheer amount of fish that call this old tugboat home. The wreck itself is pretty broken up, scattered in pieces across a sandy bottom at just 7 metres. You can swim through the larger sections of hull, feeling the surge gently push you around as schools of grunts and snappers part for you. We love spotting the curious damselfish darting between barnacle-encrusted metal plates, and if you look closely, there are always some well-camouflaged scorpionfish tucked into crevices. Visibility can vary, but generally, it’s decent enough to appreciate the scale of the scattered remains and the silvery flash of passing jacks. It’s perfect for a second dive or for newer divers getting comfortable with wrecks. Just remember, it can get a bit surgey, so keep an eye on your buoyancy as you navigate the debris field.
