MURAI - Cenderawasih Bay

Murai, a merchant vessel resting at 37 meters, gives you a proper wreck dive in Cenderawasih. It’s categorized as a dangerous wreck, so we’d suggest good buoyancy control and a healthy respect for its aged structure. Even so, the holds are open enough for careful penetration, offering glimpses into its past life. We’ve found barracuda often school here, drifting over the decks, and the hull itself is now home to plenty of smaller reef fish. It’s a site for those who appreciate the history beneath the waves and the way marine life reclaims man-made objects.
