With 118+ marine species recorded in the area - including manta rays, mobula rays (devil rays), orcas, sea turtles and sperm whales - Eel Ridge offers some of Derawan Islands's richest diving.
Eel Ridge, near Derawan, is a good spot to drift along and watch the action unfold. We typically see white tip reef sharks cruising the bottom, along with schools of jacks and barracuda in the blue. Keep an eye out for a few turtles, they're often spotted here. It's a relaxed dive, good for those who enjoy a gentle current and pelagic encounters.
