Kakaban - Derawan Islands

Kakaban often delivers that big fish buzz, especially along its deeper walls. We’re talking a decent chance for hammerheads, though we've certainly had trips where they were shy. Eagle rays and barracudas are more consistent, gliding through the often-strong currents that funnel nutrients into the area. It’s a site best suited for experienced divers comfortable in a bit of a washing machine, but the rewards-like schooling jacks and tuna flashing in the blue-make it a Derawan highlight.
